Boy entrant into the Royal Navy, in 1923. Joined the Exeter on March 10th 1941. 3.5 years in Macassar P.O.W camp, Celibe Islands. Returned home to Rosyth, Scotlands to his wife and two boys, in 1945, taking employment at the Royal Navy Dockyard in Rosyth
