1941/11/10 - 53 Infantry Brigade sailed from Halifax in the USS Mount Vernon to Cape Town with Convoy William Sail 12X

1941/12/25 - Arrived Cape Town

1941/12/29 - Left Cape Town for Singapore with Convoy DM1

1942/01/09 - Arrived Singapore

1942/01/16 - 53rd Infantry Brigade moved to Jahore, Malaya under 11th Indian Division.

 1942/01/26 - Japanese infiltrate behind lines, retreat back to Singapore
