The picture was taken whilst in captivity.

Harold is left, second row from back (dark hair).

Taken by a Japanese guard whose father was Japanese but whose mother was English. It was, apparently, given to Harold because he was the youngest in the group (age 21).

When released Harold’s weight was 6 stone.
