On returning from the war, to meet his new son Ernie who had been born in March 1942. 

Ernest worked with his passion, Motorbikes, until the Japanese took over the market.

He then worked at Southend Airport on Maintenance of the aircraft. 

And finally worked in a school as a Engineering assistant in the workshop.
