1941/12/25 - Mount Vernon with 5th and 6th Royal Norfolk Regiments plus 2nd Cambridgeshire Regiment left convoy for Singapore

1941/12/28 - Wakefield docked at Bombay

1942/01/19 - Left Bombay with the now Task Force 14.2 for Singapore

1942/01/29 - Disembarked at Singapore just after a Japanese bombing raid, docks were ablaze

18th Division held North Eastern side of Singapore against the Japanese

1942/02/10 - Moved to Bukit Timah as ‘Tomforce’ under Lt. Col. L.C. Thomas in support of 12 Indian brigade

1942/02/12 - Japanese caused heavy losses within Tomforce
