Arakan and Imphal Plain - November 1943 - May 1944

26822 Lance Naik Abdul Haq has been a member of every offensive party sent out by ‘A’ Section 74 (KGVO Bengal) Field Company IE during the period November 1943 - May 1944. He was with the attacking force on Pt 731 in ARAKAN and preceded the infantry leading elements, lifting Booby Traps until heavy enemy Machine Gun fire force the attack to be abandoned.

Lance Naik Abdul Haq has twice attacked bunkers with flame throwers in the Imphal Plain, once with the 2 SUFFOLK and once with 20043 Hav FAZAL ELAHI on SAUSAGE features, (Night 21/22 April 1944). He has been his Sec Comds escort on all recces carried out by him, and has set an outstanding example to the rest of the section bu his coolness under fire and his ernest desire to have a crack at the Jap.
