Joined HMS Royal Arthur, Skegness 1942,as a Electrical Mechanic
3rd Class. Served on board the 'Begum' (a Woolworth Carrier)
commissioned in Vancouver, Canada. Later served on board the
HMS Woolwich a repair ship based in Trincomalee in Ceylon
before being demobbed in 1946.
