Royal Signals.
Served with B.E.F. and PIA force, Eric
was captured and incarcerated as P O W in Italy.
He escaped at the capitulation, and was on the run
for some time with a pal who had a broken arm.
He was sheltered by an Italian family -
Iattici Alberto, Via Bellessere,
27 42035 Castelnovo ne' Monti, Regio Emilia, Italy.
He was recaptured and killed at L'Aquila
railway station 8 December 1943, by allied bombing.
