1942/10/01 -  Lisbon Maru was Torpedoed by USS Grouper, 6 miles from Tung Fusham Island, off the China coast, 2957'N, 12256'N.

Harry survived by swimming to an island, was picked up and landed at Woosung not far from Shanghai. Encircled by machine-gun crews the survivors dared not talk to one another at the risk of getting a beating.

Transported in Shinsei Maru to Japan

Taken to Osaka No. 1 Camp

Liberated at Osaka 9B Notogawa-Machi, Japan

Age 26

1945/09/02 - Liberated
