The blow is bitter, the loss severe

To part with one we love so dear,

The trial is hard, we’ll not complain,

But trust in Christ we meet again.

So when breaks the glorious dawn,

Of the Resurrection mourn,

When the night of toil is o’er,

We shall see Thee on the shore.”
