Born 2 Sept 1905. Sent to Lancing and joined the Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank 1925, foreign staff, Calcutta, Colombo, '28 - '32, Shanghai '34. Joined the Straits Settlements Volunteer Force, Serjeant 5395. Captured Singapore 15th Feb 1942.
