Born: 1920

    • Leslie, a RAF Halton apprentice (known as Holton 'brats'), became a Flight Engineer on Halifax HR918 L-Q: G (for George), 405 Squadron flying out of Grandsden Lodge.
      Leslie gave his life on the 23rd August 1943 en route to Berlin.
      His Halifax was a probable victim of a night fighter attack. The plane crashed north of Haldensleben, NNW of Magdeburg, and Leslie is buried in the Military Cemetery, Heerstrasse, Berlin.
