Son of L. Cpl. Edmund George Durnford, R.A.S.C. (died as a result of active service, 18th April, 1918), and of Bessie Durnford, of Midsomer Norton, Somerset; husband of Kathleen Durnford, of Bishopsworth, Somerset.
