The Junyo Maru left Batavia, Java for Padang, Sumatra 1944/09/16 with 6520 prisoners, these included 2320 Dut. Brit. Amer. Aus. 4200 Javanese romusha. Sunk by HMS Tradewind off MoakoMoakao Lat 20.53S Lon 101.11E. Lost 5640.
