SYDNEY WAR CEMETERY

 

 

Remains recovered by US Forces after the war and taken to Sydney on board HMS Newfoundland, which was present in Tokyo Bay when the Instrument of Surrender was signed aboard the USS Missouri on the 2nd September 1945.
