Signed up as George Albert Lockyer. After release Monte was taken from his camp in Japan to YOKOHOMA and put on an American ship to MANILLA travelling to Canada via HMS IMPLACABLE, returning home via the ISLE DE FRANCE .
Died 3 May 1952 in Southport.
