SINGAPORE MEMORIAL

 

 

Sailed from Ambon on 17/09/1944 with about 500 British and Dutch POWs bound for Surabaya. Required engine repairs in Makassar, 159 POWs died in the holds in the 40 days required to complete repairs, reached Surabaya on 26/11/1944.
